Sherrylynn originally hails from Northeastern Ohio, where she studied art and mathematics at Kent State University.

In 1993, she joined the Peace Corps and served two years as a mathematics teacher at Jomo Kenyatta High School in Nakuru, Kenya. During school breaks, she traveled throughout Kenya and Egypt, trusty camera in hand.

After returning from the Kenya in 1996, Sherrylynn finished her Master’s Degree at Kent State and relocated in 1997 to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she taught mathematics at Central New Mexico Community College and the University of New Mexico.

After seven years in the dessert, Sherrylynn came to Jacksonville Beach.

Sherrylynn has had her work published in the Salem (Ohio) News, has donated slides to the Art History Department of Kent State University, and has shown her work at many local events. She is currently a member of the Neptune Artists and the Beaches Photography Club.
